“Use the house to produce and diffuse our ideas (…), do it, do it, and believe in it, yes, it works like this” said Martin Adriazola from Tambo de Bronce. The small center fights to make the contemporary creation alive and to give visibility to alternative artists in Arequipa. Clotted in its historical past, it seems as if the highly cultural and touristic city has no place for alternative culture. Run by two angry artists since 2010, the unique independent cultural center in the city still looks confidential. But every month with more and more exhibitions, workshops, and concerts, the place is taking roots. Conscious of the long-distance work, the cultural place sets up with other organizations and invests public areas to mobilize people, institutions and media.
