In 2012, mARTadero was recognized as one of the most virtuous 18 cultural projects for development in South America by OAS (Organization of American States). The multidisciplinary space, opened in 2005 in an old slaughterhouse, became a model in terms of stimulating prospects. Setting up the best practices in matters of organization, local integration and network activations, the managing team has been involved in rehabilitating neglected urban spaces into creative social processes for the common benefit.
