La Redada, Colombia
Their project
The name of the place (La Redada could be traduced by raid) is well-named as activist spirit full of youth and energy prevails in this place close to the biggest universities of Bogota. “Do-it-yourself” and independence are the precepts of the collective experience of the groups, which co-run the center without legal status. Every discipline is pretext to positive emulation for the people wounded by years of war and lusting for change. Indeed, the autonomous cultural center is the spearhead of the cultural movida that has taken place in the country since ten years, simultaneously with the violence calm down and the economic coming out of Colombia, which opened new paths between narco and folk culture.
