Casa Ida, Peru
The Peruvian ministry of Culture has only been existing since 2011 but the public under-development didn’t stop the founding of several independent cultural centers in the 2000s. In 2005, Casa Ida emerged in the ill-famed historic center of Lima constrasting with an innovative line up linking art and technology, in order to break the elitist approach of art and the scientific technology conception. The programming is pluralist, so are the ways to discover the center which has its feet firmly on the ground. Casa Ida is today connected to a network of more than 30 cultural places of the historic district of Lima, especially big public institutions, contributing to the revival of the place.
