The foundation COMPA originally was a community theatre, born in 1996 in El Alto, a popular city next to La Paz. Today, the institution counts 4 houses in all Bolivia. Fully dedicated to excluded people, COMPA asserts power of art and culture in individual and collective change.  The institution works with 42 educational establishments to spread equity, democracy and solidarity values. The institution develops multidisciplinary activities, especially dedicatd to the Bolivian lower class identity and pride in the houses or in the streets which are considered as an important area of expression.
